She was predeceased by: her husband Manuel of Sousa. She is survived by: her children, John (Simone) of Sousa, Lurdes, Silva (Jay), Conceiçao (Jean-Pierre Séguin) of Sousa, José (Danyelle) of Sousa, Teresa Séguin (Yves) and Luis (Goretti) of Sousa; and her siblings, Gilda and Clementina. She is also survived by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Diabetes Canada or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
