We are sad to announce that on April 5, 2021 we had to say goodbye to Margot Vandergeest (Ottawa, Ontario). You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Heinrich Messbauer and Maria Messbauer; and her siblings, Anna, Helene, Harry and Clemens.

She is survived by: her spouse Cal Vandergeest (Cornelis); her children, Marianne Oakes (Dan), Yolanda Sutherland (Brian), Harry (Linda) and Ron (Fiona Smith Hale); her grandchildren, Patrick, Christopher Oakes, Sarah, Amanda, Matthew Sutherland, Paul, Mark, Ian Vandergeest, Troy, Jenna Vandergeest, David and Callum Hale; her sisters, Rietie (New Zealand) and Truus (The Netherlands); and her sister-in-law Joyce. She is also survived by friends, her children.

Due to Covid restrictions, a celebration of Margot's life will be held at a later date.
