He was predeceased by: his parents, Antonio Costa Soares and Maria De Jesus Carneiro. He is survived by: his wife Maria Ledo Soares; his children, Antonio Soares (Lucie Miller-Soares), Gloria Doré (Dave McLellan) and Margarida Soares; his grandchildren, Anabelle, Mariève, Valérie Soares, Brittany, Brandon, Justin and Jacob Doré; his nephews, Joao Soares Botelho (Cecilia Botelho), Jose Pereira De Jesus (Maria De), Humberto Pereira (Maria De) and Carlos Pereira; and his niece Eduarda Pereira.
