Lorna (Keenleyside) O'Brien Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lorna (Keenleyside) O'Brien (Ottawa, Ontario), who passed away on April 4, 2025, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Francis (Frank); her parents, Francis Keenleyside and Hazel Keenleyside; her grandson Gregory O'Brien (Sarah); her brother Ellwood Keenleyside; her sister-in-law Marguerite; her siblings, Irving Keenleyside (Ruth) and Coral Paul; her brother-in-law Harold; and her in-laws, Margaret, Kenneth Shepard, Nancy, Bill Jandrew, Walter, Mabel O'Brien, Carmen and Kenneth Birchall.

She is survived by: her children, Patrick O'Brien (Fay), Colleen O'Brien, Mary-Ann Grey (Geoffrey), Timothy O'Brien, Rod O'Brien, Kathleen O'Brien (Jacques Dagenais) and Rosemary O'Brien (Kenneth Johansen); her grandchildren, Shannon O'Brien, Lindsy Larizza (Michael), Brodie Montreuil (Martha Wawrykow), Francis Dagenais, Philippe Dagenais (Francesca Payette), Lily Dagenais, Marie-Rose Dagenais, Emily Johansen (Michael Palmer) and Kristen Johansen; her great grandchildren, Serafina, Carmelina Larizza, Orson and Sabine Montreuil; and her siblings, Terry Keenleyside, Judy Kitching (Alan) and Danny Keenleyside (Francine). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Pinecrest Visitation Centre (2500 Baseline Rd, Ottawa, ON K2C3H9). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Fatima Church (153 Woodroffe Ave, Ottawa, ON K2A3T8).
