She was predeceased by: her spouse Butler Garland; her parents, Everett Paul and Ethel Paul; and her siblings, Dorothy Fee, Eleanor Paul-Robillard and Keith Paul.

She is survived by: her children, Judy (Glenn), Joan, Nancy (Bill) and Tim; her grandchildren, Trevor (Laura), Graham (Anna), Will, Ben (Jess), Harley and Dillon; her great grandchildren, Scarlett and Jake; her stepgrandchildren, Owen and Ali; her sisters, Colleen Welch, Lynn Goth (Doug) and Betty Brown (Shaun); and her sister-in-law Iris Paul.

If friends so desire memorial tributes in lieu of flowers may be made to Ruddy-Shenkman Hospice or the Alzheimer's Society of Ottawa.
