She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Douglas Power; her parents, Mervin Walter and Madeleine; her children, Tracey, Jason (Carlene), Sara (Mike), Amy (Paul), Erin (Richard) and Sam (Stephanie); her grandchildren, Liam (Amber), Emily, Michaela and Olivia; her great grandchildren, Brock, Madeline, Parker and Owen; and her siblings, Shelley Walter and Nancy Walter (Michael).

The family wishes that donations be made in her honour to the Heart and Stroke foundation or towards cancer research.
