Lee was predeceased by: parents, Don Hodgins and Lon Hodgins. Lee is survived by: wife Sylvia; children, Blake (Rosie) and Bonnie (Chris); and grandchildren, Mackenzie and Hayden.

One of his highest honours was being selected for the Jim Coode Achievement Award by his peers; recognizing his outstanding devotion and contribution to the high school football program.
