Laurent J. Cossette Obituary

It is with deep sadness that the Cossette family announces the passing of Laurent Cossette on August 17, 2023 at the age of 93.

He was the son of the late Joseph Herménegilde-Ludger Cossette and the late Marie-Rose Diana Dénommé and the husband of the late Juliette Borutski (2013-2023) and the late Madeleine Charron (1954-2006).

He leaves in sorrow his 4 children Carole Cossette, Robert Cossette (Kate), Monique DeRepentigny (Robert), Suzanne Lafrenière (Perry) and his stepson Denis Lapointe (Sandra).

His 8 grandchildren Zachary (Trina) & Sarah Morin, Raymond (Nikki) & Brigitte Cossette, Patricia & Sophie (Omer) DeRepentigny, Josée (Eric) & Isabelle (Jean-Guy) Lafrenière and his step-granddaughter Natalie (Lapointe).

His 7 great-grandchildren Lilou, Celeste & Trinity (Morin); Madeleine & Elianna (Morin-Leblanc); Evelyn & Mason (McAllister).

As well as many nephews, nieces and friends.

He was predeceased by his son Denis, his sisters Jacqueline and Odette, his brothers Jean-Maurice, Edgar, Hervé and Gaston.

The family would like to thank the nurses and doctors at the Montfort Hospital for their care during his final days and the staff at Cité Parkway Retirement Residence for welcoming him into their community.

Memorial mass will be held on Monday, September 11 at 11:00AM at Sainte-Geneviève Catholic Church, 825 Canterbury Avenue, Ottawa, Ontario.

The family will receive condolences from 10:30AM.
