It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Judith Basinger-Cairns of Ottawa, Ontario, who passed away on August 26, 2021, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Malcolm Cairns; her parents, Richard Stith and Gale Stith; her siblings, Scott and Brooks Basinger; her stepchildren, Alastair and Michael Cairns; her sisters, Donna Slocomb and Barbara Terrell; her grandchildren, Halle and Johanna; and her great grandchildren, Robyn and Wren. She was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.

Dispersal of the immediate family across the continent, as they grew up, resulted in their many successes but meant that personal contact was less frequent than she might have liked, especially during COVID.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St Barnabas Church.
