He was predeceased by: his siblings, Lorraine Aykroyd, Claude Gougeon, Helene Schull and Peter Gougeon; his nephews, John Gougeon and Peter Aykroyd Jr.; and his friend Bert Atkins.
He is survived by: his son Edward; his daughter-in-law Patricia; and his grandchildren, Madeleine and William.
