He was predeceased by: his son Jack (Sheila); and his parents, Encarnacion Romero and Jose Romero. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn; his children, Tracey (Peter Nutbrown), Denise (Kevin Latimer) and Joseph; and his grandchildren, Kyle, Steven, Mitchell, Kurt, Shannon and Dylan.
