He was predeceased by: his wife Valda; and his siblings, Rosemary, Evelyn, Agnes, George, William and Keith.

He is survived by: his children, Glenn (Hélène), Allan (Laura) and Ross (Angela); his grandchild John-Ross (Megan); and his sister Margaret.
