He was predeceased by: his stepmother Frederica Gaitens (Kaart); his wife Patricia Gaitens (Lowes); his children, Sheila Gauthier (Bernie Gauthier), Christine Gaitens (John Nash), Grampy, Daniel Gauthier (Hilary Walker), Annie Gauthier and Lindsay Gaitens; his great grandchildren, Olive and Louis Gauthier; his sisters, Misty and JoAnn; his parents, Daniel Robertson Gaitens and Jean Alaine Ker; and his son James.
He is survived by: his stepchildren, Beth Montgomery, Chris Horobin and Mike Horobin; and his stepgrandchildren, Morgan, Sarah, Nicholas, William and Joseph.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the West Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & Mc (150 Woodroffe Ave, Ottawa, ON K2A3T9). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
