He was predeceased by: his daughter Darlene Audrey. He is survived by: his spouse Willemina; his children, Ron VanDieen, Joyce Armstrong (David) and Sheila DeVries-Hursti (Nelson); his grandchildren, Jason, Kurtis VanDieen, Laura, Mark Armstrong (Dylan), Steve, Jessica and Claire Hursti; his siblings, Janke Oevering (Simon) and George DeVries (Gert); and his sister-in-law Grace DeVries.
