He was predeceased by: his siblings, Lukas (late Roelie), Cor (late Jannie), Rika (late Henk Breimer), Hanna (late Peter Weima), Fred (late Margaret) and Art (Jacoba); and his close friend George Bray.
He is survived by: his wife Anne; his children, Angela (Peter Casey), John (Chantal) and Krista (Pete Bray); his grandchildren, Kayla (Josh), Taylor, Mackenzie and Nate; his great grandchild Judah; his siblings, Henk (late Gail) and Albert (Gertie); and his close friend Henk Huizenga.
