She was predeceased by: her parents, Ezra Lumsden and Lulu Mae Lumsden; her sisters, Doreen Marcenko and Fay Pealow; and her siblings-in-law, Ruth Richardson, Isobel Jones, Kevin Murphy, Ralph Burbridge, Ken Pealow, John Richardson and Eric Jones.
She is survived by: her children, Shelley, Stephen (Karen) and Jeffrey (Kathleen); her grandchildren, Matt, Tristan, Elizabeth, Robin, Meghan, Nick, Holly and Sadie; and her siblings, Margaret Burbridge and Keith Lumsden (Phyllis).
Joan loved animals and donations in her memory may be made by those who wish to her favourite charity, the Ottawa Humane Society.
