She was predeceased by: her former husband Harold Thompson; and her parents, Edward Jamieson and Maybelle Jamieson. She is survived by: her husband Michael Fedorchuk; her children, Mark Thompson (Sue), Steve Thompson, Susan Hockley (late Mel), Brian Thompson (Anita), David Thompson (Kim) and Diane Adams (Wade); and her brother Edward "Ted" Jamieson (Doris). She is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A larger celebration of life will be held on a future date to be determined due to Covid 19 restrictions.
In memory of Joan a donation to the Ottawa Humane Society or the Canadian Cancer Society would be most appreciated.
