Joan Broughton Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joan Broughton in Ottawa, Ontario, born in Oldham, North West, who passed away on September 12, 2020. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Peter Broughton; her children, Michael Broughton and Gail Notman; and her brother Gerald Millward. She is survived by: her granddaughters, Melissa Hunt (Matt) and Sarah Borrel (Andreas); her son-in-law Laird Notman (Melanie Overduin); and her great grandchildren, Peyton, Samuel, Cassidy, Annalise and Aria. She is also survived by her extended family in England and her many friends.

As per her wishes, memorial donations in memory of Joan may be made to the Aphasia Institute in Toronto (http://www.aphasia.ca), where she used to volunteer.
