She was predeceased by: her husband Henry Aubrey; her parents, Charles Wicker and Mae Emma Wicker; her son-in-law Frank Schroeder; and her sister Doreen "Dodie" Taylor (late Don).

She is survived by: her children, Christine (Don Graham), Kathy Aubrey-Moore (Bill), Brent (Jana) and Brad; her grandchildren, Melissa, Derek (Jessica), Kelsey (Matt), Ryan (Amy), Dylan, Kyle (Jackie) and Malorie (Jimmy); her great grandchildren, Keegan (Hayley), Will, Sophie, Bennett, Molly and Quinton; her great great grandchild Joseph; her brother Charles Wicker (Linda); and her siblings-in-law, Claudette (Joe), Linda (Joe) and Larry (Lise). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the CNIB or Fighting Blindness Canada in Joan's memory.
