“My friend since we were 11 years old. We met on a RCAF Base in Zweibrucken, Germany and stayed in touch throughout many transfers. When we graduated Grade 12 we leased an apartment together and Jill was my bridesmaid at my wedding. Whenever I managed to get to Ottawa I would phone her or go out to lunch and it was like we were never separated. Internet came along and we became great emailers. We stayed in touch right up until the end. I miss my friend. My lifelong friend. Barbara Ootes”
