Jeanine Marie Gertrude (Potvin) Dwyer Obituary

DWYER, Jeanine Marie Gertrude (nee Potvin) of Ottawa, Ontario, was 100 years old when she passed away peacefully at her home - the Ottawa Grace Manor - on Tuesday, November 14, 2023.

Jeanine was pre-deceased by her seven siblings and by her ex-husband Keith. She is survived by her children Dennis (Miriam), John (Maureen Wilson), Jackie (Alex Sauve), Patsy, as well as Roger Saumur (Madeleine Blais); her grandchildren Jason, Jessica, Monica, Natalie, Emily, Mark, Pamela, Andrew, David and Dominique; and her great-grandchildren Sharky, Nicolas, Zachary, Ayda-Rose, Emma, Etta, Zalia, Ramona, Elijah, Mason, Willow and Cooper.

Jeanine enjoyed an active and fulfilling life. She worked for many years in the translation department of the House of Commons. In retirement she completed her BA at the University of Ottawa. Most of all she loved spending time with her loved ones.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Grace Manor for their loving care, particularly during her final days.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at the Racine, Robert & Gauthier Funeral Home, 180 Montreal Road, Ottawa, on Monday, December 18 at 10:30am; a reception will follow. There will be a visitation at 9:30am, one hour prior to the Memorial Service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests you consider a donation to the Ottawa Grace Manor and/or the Shepherds of Good Hope.
