He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Van Doorn and Jacoba (van Fraeijenhove); his sister Ria; and his sibling-in-law Janny (Arie). He is survived by: his wife Alice (Zandbergen); his children, Jacinda (Steve), Albert (Sandy), Carla (Andrew) and James Jr. (Leslie); his grandchildren, Kira, Willem, Liam, Benjamin, Nik, Ryley, Jakob, Isaac and Noah; his siblings, Willem (Anne), Adri (Bill), Tina (Brian) and John (Rubi); and his siblings-in-law, Freda (Harold), Henry (Henny), Dini (Nick), Richard (Yettie), Bill (Coby), Fred (Mattie), John (Theresa) and Jo Ann (Bill).
