He was predeceased by: his parents, George Duffee and Jean Duffee; and his nephew Kevin Pattison. He is survived by: his sisters, Shirley Pattison (Lorne) and Joan Nicholas (Bryan); his niece Diane Kenyon (Michael); his children, Christopher (Katherine), Amanda (Brandon) and Kevin; his nephew Daryl Pattison (Trish); his children, Kelsey Pattison, Brendan Pattison and Dwayne Pattison (JiYeun); and his cousins, Gordon Hallett (Carol), Ken Hallett (Doris), John Hallett, Bruce Duffee, Bonnie Nordling of Whitehorse, Neil Duffee of Ottawa, ON and Boyd Duffee (Sandi) of England.

Donations in memory of James may be made to the Wycollar Cemetery or Charity of Choice.
