He was predeceased by: his parents, Douglas Holmes and Millie Holmes; his brother Robert; his grandsons, Benjamin and Nicholas; his stepchildren, François Kane (Marie-Noëlle) and Dominique Kane; and his stepgrandchildren, Noah, Mélodie, Adrien and Sasha.
He is survived by: his wife Nicole (Vaillancourt); his children, Kathryn (David Derousie) and Michael; his aunt Germaine Moyle; and his cousin David Holmes.
