He was predeceased by: his father Anton; and his sister-in-law Bonnie Gerlitz. He is survived by: his wife Ena Dasberg; his siblings, Ralph (Robin), Richard (Loretta), James and Alida (Mike); his mother Barteldina; his siblings-in-law, Alice Hayes, James Dasberg (Karen) and Craig Gerlitz; and his friend Pat Grist (Debbie). He is also survived by many nephews, nieces and cousins.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes (3440 Richmond Rd, Ottawa, ON K2H8H7). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A reception was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Tubman Funeral Homes - Garden Chapel (3440 Richmond Rd, Nepean, ON K2H8H7).
In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society (https://cancer.ca) or Children at Risk would be appreciated by the family.
