He was predeceased by: his parents, Ronald Whyte and Lorraine Whyte; and his sister Valerie. He is survived by: his wife Karen; his children, Ken (Aphrodity) and Melanie (Kevin Leathem); his stepchildren, Kirsten Devenny (Don) and Guy Major; his grandchildren, Stephen MacMartin (Kate), Michael MacMartin (Kate Evelyn), Veronica (Dale Crafts), Ronald Whyte, Liam, Alana and Katie Devenny; his great grandchildren, Brayden, Ryleigh, Logan, Hendrik and Lexa; his sister Sheila (Peter Rorke); his niece Rosalind; his nephew Tom; and his family J. G. Whyte.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 2nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the West Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & Mc (150 Woodroffe Ave, Ottawa, ON K2A3T9). A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
