We are sad to announce that on September 23, 2018, at the age of 77, Honourable Eric Berntson (Ottawa, Ontario) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Art and Jenny Berntson; his brothers, Butch and Dave; his son Roland; his grandson Joshua; his pet Mitchell; and also, Nicholas and Helen Trafananko.

He is survived by: his children, LeeAnne, Kira and Eric (Ben); his wife Teuta; his granddaughter Nissa; his siblings, Bud, Glenn (Sharon), Dennis (Maureen), Ellen (Downey), Fran (Dennis), Marj (late George) and Merle (Jim); his godsons, Nicholas Trafananko and Rob Trafananko; his friends, Leier, Swayze and Eric; and also, Harold Trafananko (Nadia) and Bob Trafananko (Sandy).

In their memory, if you wish, a donation may be made to the Lions Foundation to keep supporting the blind and their dog guides.
