We are sad to announce that on March 17, 2021, Harriet Needham (Ottawa, Ontario) passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Harriet Needham to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Lilian Rhodes and Horace Rhodes; her significant other Alan Roy; and her siblings, Raymond (Audrey), Hubert (late Kathleen), May (Pat), Eva and Ronnie (Jean).

She is survived by: her daughters, Jennifer (late Ian), Beverly (Glenn) and Carolyn (Dan); her grandchildren, Kevin, Johanna (Kyle), Alyson, Elisabeth, Rebecca, Margaret (Dave), Patrick (Antonella), James, Thomas, David, Spill, Spell, Boggle and Scrabble; her great grandchildren, Keira, Maya and Isla; her siblings, Nora (late Dennis), Kenneth (late Kathleen), Tom (Ann), Margaret (Tony) and Kathleen (Alan); and her nephew Peter. She is also survived by friends, more recent friends.

Due to COVID 19 restrictions, there will be no Celebration of Life at this time.

In lieu of flowers, please donate in Rita's name to the charity of your choice.

Peter Needham lit a candle

“My earliest memory was on a ship with my Mom and Aunt Rita, sailing to Toronto, Canada. In our first house, Roy and Rita lived upstairs; we lived downstairs. After having children, the house was too small for our 2 families, so we moved to different houses Our 2 families remained very close and visited often. After my mom passed away, our families again bought a house together. Aunt Rita became like a mother to me -she will always have a special place in my heart. I will always love her.”
