With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gururaja Beejady Koteshwara Rao (Ottawa, Ontario), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 10, 2025 at the age of 88. Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Gururaja Beejady Koteshwara leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.

He was predeceased by: his sister Vijaya. He is survived by: his wife Usha Rao; his sons, Srik (Nandini), Vasu (Cari) and Krishna (Judi); his grandchildren, Kiran and Akhila; and his siblings, Vadiraja, Sr. and Seethu. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
