He was predeceased by: his parents, John Akerley and Rachel Akerley; and his brother Lee. He is survived by: his sisters, Gail (Eric) of Kansas City, Judy (Richard) of Saint-Leonard, Peggy (John) of Van Buren, Maine and Jill (Diana) of Bangor; and his nieces and nephews, Sophia, John, James, Christopher, Steven, André, Julie, Marc, Patrick of Emma, JP and Kari. He is also survived by aunts, uncles and cousins.
