He was predeceased by: his wife Giuseppina Macrillo; his parents, Giuseppe and Elisabetta; and his siblings, Giovanni and Maria.

He is survived by: his sons, Joe (Anne Lamar) and Enzo; his brother Antonio (Lucia Misdea); his nieces, Elvira (Angel Mota) and Linda (Dave Moncur); and his great-niece Sabina. He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, family members and friends.

“Dear Joe and Enzo, I want to express my deepest sympathies for the loss of your father. There are no words that will ease the grief of the loss of a father but in time your memories will give you comfort. I visited him a few weeks ago and as weak as he was he kept insisting that Joe eat some cookies and then laughed when Joe made a joke. He was a force, may he rest in peace, my dad will love having his company again.”
