She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Dr. Asadollah Kiani and Giti Vakili; her husband Mohamad Ali Shams; her sons, Payman and Mehdi Shams; her siblings, Mohammad, Amir Hussein, Ali Kiani, Vida and Zahra Kiani; her daughters-in-law, Sarah Farohki and Fatemeh Masoomian; her brothers-in-law, Payman Bashtar and Farid Jouzdani; her cousins, Maryam and Leila; and her nieces and nephews, Arno Arian, Parshan, Shantia, Illia, Pargol, Mansoureh, Mahsa and Golsa.
The family respectfully requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in Gita's memory.
