He was predeceased by: his significant other Jo Lowry; and his siblings, Joan and John. He is survived by: his children, Karen (Ray Slater), Shelly (Tom Hunter), Laurel (Rob Saloman), Andrew and Sandra (Denis Diotte); his grandchildren, John (Karine), Chris (Christianne), Brian, Shannon (Tyler), Jacquie (Imran), Aaron (Cate), Justin (Alissa), Nick, Trevor, Stephanie (Joel), Eric, Tristan and Isabella; his great grandchildren, Nathan, Keeva, Lexie, Emma, Finn and Logan; and his brothers, Peter, Ed and Doug. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.

If anyone would like to make a donation in memory of George, the family suggests the Ottawa Heart Institute or the Ottawa Humane Society.
