It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Fiander (Ottawa, Ontario), born in English Harbour West, Newfoundland, who passed away on July 18, 2018, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his children, Sylvia, Dawn (Daniel) of Calgary, Jacqueline (Demetrio) of Ottawa, Wendy (Steve) of Kitchener and Trevor (Julie) of Ottawa; his grandchildren, Kylie, Evan, Patrick, Leah, Jack and Sam; his sister Joan Cook; and his nieces, Diane Druken (Doug) and Jean Cook (Neil).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Shriner's transportation fund or Elizabeth Bruyère Hospital.
