He was predeceased by: his granddaughter Stephanie; his parents, Beatrice and Theodore; and his brothers, Léo and Jacques.

He is survived by: his wife Gilberte Lanctot; his children, Henri (Penny Mylonakos), Louise (Sylvio Cyr), Marc (Cathy) and Alain Gauthier (Akiko); his grandchildren, Julie (Éric), Chantal (Mark), Jean, Amélie and Yves; and his sister Claire Zion. He is also survived by his cousins, nieces and nephews.
