It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Garry William Mennie (Ottawa, Ontario), who passed away on February 23, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Jo; his parents, John Mennie and Olena Wylie; and his family Century Farm. He is survived by: his daughters, Katie (Michael Burton) and Joanna (Nicholas Gray); and his grandchildren, Lucas, Ethan, Jack and Emma.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home and Chapel (1411 Hunt Club Rd, Ottawa, ON K1V1A6). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Ottawa Hospital would be appreciated, or donations to the charity of your choice (we have learned that Garry's generous nature led him to donate to nearly all of them!).
