He was predeceased by: his parents, Allen John Smith and Mary (Patacairk); and his siblings, Theresa, Gail, Joan, June, Kenneth, Allen, Wayne and William.

He is survived by: his significant other Christine (Langlois); his son Patrick (Charlotte White); his pet Cleo; and his sisters, Lorraine (Frank Schleyer), Faye (late Gary Asselin) and Dianne. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
