He was predeceased by: his parents, Maxwell and Louilla; his siblings, John, Don and Beryl; his children, Michael (Nancy) and Holly (Frank Buda); and his former wife June.

He is survived by: his wife Margaret "Peggy"; his children, Sharon Tkach (Bill), Garth "Mack" (Kathy) and Timothy; his grandchildren, Kendall (John Lewis), Ryan (Sherri), Benjamin Buda and Cassandra Buda (Dustin); and his great grandchildren, Abby, Isaac Lewis, Anthony, Ethan Buda and Lily Bregg.
