He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Dianne; his children, Laura (Lionel Chow), Tania (David McElrea) and Vanessa (Karl Quinn); his grandchildren, Elizabeth, Samuel, Vincent, Sophie, Marc, Jack, Coen and Rhys; his brother David; and his parents, Alfred Lionel and Ada Marie.
