It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Erna Lyster (Ottawa, Ontario), who passed away on March 26, 2021, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her stepgreat-grandchild Konur Teagyn; her brother Odd; and her parents, Arne and Gunvor. She is survived by: her husband John; her children, Jan, Hans (Mary Anne) and Geir; her grandchildren, Tyson and Lindsay; her great grandchildren, Faith and Page; her stepgrandchildren, Mike, Melanie, Vickie and Ashley; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Landon, Corbyn, Graham, Cameron, Brooklyn, Everly and Jaxson; and her sibling Kari.

“To John, Jan, Hans & Geir...I will remember Erna for the friend that she was. I met Erna, through my Navan curling activities, as my teammate, Marge Lichti (deceased) was a Navan neighbour of Erna. The three of us shared another common interest...(our little vice)...the casino. We had many little "casino outings", even a weekend in Montreal where we stayed up until 5:00 a.m...Erna amazed me as she was 20+ years older than us. Rest in Peace Erna, thank you for your friendship. Diana.”
