She is survived by: her spouse Jacobus "Jake" Van Strien; her children, Tessa Chalkley (Stephen), Kelly McDermaid (Steven), Jo-Anne Van Strien and Paula Van Strien; and her grandchildren, Logan, Jake, Rachel Chalkley, Madison, John Alan McGrath and Taylor Vercholuk.
In lieu of flowers or as an expression of condolence, the family would suggest a donation to the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada or the Canadian Cancer Society.
