With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elia Chaaya Mahfouz (Ottawa, Ontario), who passed away on May 9, 2021 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Chaaya and Wardé; and his siblings, Antoine (Leila), Georgette (Joseph Abou Eid), Marie (Fares Kassab) and Rose (Jamil Karam).

He is survived by: his wife Angele; his children, Michel, Huguette Barakat (Moufid), Helen Abraham (Peter) and Nabil (Lilliane); his siblings, George (Deebeh), Mahfouz (Claudette) and Thérese El Helou (Tony); his grandchildren, Ziad, Fadi (Sandra), Marwan (Minya), Kristina (Joseph), Angela (Paul), Ryan, Branden, Marisa, Zachary and Jasmine; and his great grandchildren, Olivia, Roman, Theodore, Ella, Mia, Sebastian, Austin, Gia and Selena. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces and extended family and friends.
