He was predeceased by: his sister Edna; his brothers-in-law, Val Miville and George Down; his grandson Elias Edward Lachance; and his great grandchild Abigail Paige Edwards.

He is survived by: his spouse Genevieve (McGee); his children, Michael (Dagmar Mundt), Kathleen (Ron Beauchamp), Patrick, Barry (Lee-Anne Edwards), Julia (Luigi Chiarelli) and Daniel (Sharon Howick); his sibling Lillian Down; and his uncle Ted. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 13 great- grandchildren.
