He was predeceased by: his brother Edward Murphy; and his former wife Norma. He is survived by: his wife Bonnie; his children, Alan, Larry (Jan), Paul and Gillian; his grandchildren, Isabelle, Sarah, Bryan Davey and Lauren Davey; his stepchildren, David Smith (Shawna Holmes), Brian Smith and Kristin Smith (Sam Beltran); his stepgrandchildren, Avery, Jake, Hannah Grace, Maia and Noah; and his siblings, Newton (Helen), Hilda Rushbrook and Velma Wilson (Charles) of New Brunswick.

Donations in memory of Earl to the University of New Brunswick Alumni or Rideau Park United Church, would be appreciated.
