He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruby Palmer and Gerald Palmer; his brother Jim; his siblings-in-law, Dorothy Waddell and John Conn; and his wife Celia Stephenson Palmer.

He is survived by: his brother Dale; his sisters-in-law, Joye Palmer and Eva Conn; and his daughters, Catherine McNeil (Patrick) and Lauren Huchuk (Wayne). He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, extended family.
