It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Joseph Murphy (Ottawa, Ontario), who passed away on May 22, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Murphy and Christina Murphy; his sister Catherine Elizabeth "Betty" Flinn (Murphy) of Chester, NS; and his brothers-in-law, Robert "Bob" Flinn of Chester, NS and Randall Smith of Halifax, NS..

He is survived by: his wife Sharon Murphy (Smith); his sons, Donald and Graham (Jennifer Pym-Murphy) of Bowmanville, ON.; his sibling Dr. Thomas Murphy (Glenda Goodine) of Houston, TX; and his siblings-in-law, Warren Smith (Barbara Reardon) and Sara Connor of Halifax, NS. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Following cremation and due to Covid-19 restrictions, a private Funeral Mass for family will be held at Northcutt Elliott Funeral Home on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at 11:00 a. m. To view the service virtually, please follow the link below.
