It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dixon Smith (Ottawa, Ontario), who passed away on May 23, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Hyslop Smith and Annie Louise Smith (MacEachern); his siblings, Stanley and Myrtle; and his sister-in-law Davida Smith.

He is survived by: his wife Margaret Anne Smith (Strong); his siblings, Wilma Mendes (Brian), Neil Smith, Lois Phillips (Kenneth), Bowen Smith (Jean) and Earle Smith (Evelyn); his children, Robert Smith (Michelle) of Lindstrom, Minnesota, Sandra Loewen (Richard) of Ottawa, Ontario and Ronald Smith (Heidi) of Moncton; his grandchildren, Anna Buhr (Justin), Gabrielle Smith, Katelyn Sudhakar (Ryan), Maxine Smith, Alexandra Smith, Curtis Smith, Duncan Smith, Laurel Smith, Ellyn Smith and Aaron Smith; and his great grandchild Ella Maggie Buhr. He is also survived by Uncle Dixon was also loved by many nieces and nephews.
