It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of David William Rumbold (Ottawa, Ontario), who passed away on December 20, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Rumbold and Gertrude Rumbold; and also Winnifred. He is survived by: his wife Ruth; his children, Matushka Yvonne Lysack, Joanne "Rivkah" Shabsove (Joseph) and Ian Rumbold; his grandchildren, Jacqueline "Chava" Fine (Dovid), Anastasia "Tasya" Lysack (Zacchaeus Laliberté), Yuliana Lysack, Véronique Rumbold and Cédrik Rumbold; and his great grandchild Chava.

“Our sincere condolances to Ruth and the family. We will miss David at The Westwood. He was a presence of great measure, always thinking of the welfare of the residents. He was so active in the resident run activities and many a scrabble game and rummikub game were enjoyed with his sponsorship. The residence was abuzz at the wedding in the summer, giving hope to all couples who meet in their later years. We are glad to still have Ruth in our midst but David's presence will be felt and valued”
