He was predeceased by: his parents, Doris and Harry; and his siblings, Linda and Barry. He is survived by: his spouse Jane Naisbitt; his children, Allison (Ulrik) and Nick; his grandchildren, Axel and Tessa; and his sister Mona. He is also survived by extended family and friends.

Donations in his memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada.
