He was predeceased by: his parents, Vassiliki Papadakis and Panagiotis Papadakis (Taverna) of Finikounta; his siblings, George (Christina), Eleni (Panagiotis), Giannis and Maria (George) of Greece; and his brother-in-law Fotis of Ottawa.

He is survived by: his wife Claire; his children, Bessie (Sotiris), Lisa (Costa) and Peter (Maggie); his grandchildren, Eleni, Haroula Giovanopoulos, Leah Watson-Papadakis (Aaron), Aristidis and Damen Tsotroudis; his sister Stavroula of Ottawa; his siblings-in-law, Nitsa, Popi of Greece and Evangelos (Rodica); his parents-in-law, George, Garifalia Deskes and Areti Deskes; his close friend Stavros; and his brothers-in-law, Giannis and Vasilios.
